Tixel Integration (Fan-to-Fan)

  • Updated

Why Tixel?

Traditional marketplaces expose fans to risks like fraud and invalid tickets. Tixel ensures secure, verified transactions—getting fans safely into events and giving organizers a trusted resale platform.

Who Benefits?

Eventim's Clients: Tixel helps maximize attendance and revenue by recapturing sold-out inventory. When certain ticket types or events sell out, fans can list their tickets on Tixel, driving renewed demand and ensuring seats don’t go empty.

Fans: Fans who can’t attend can easily resell their tickets. Buyers gain access to verified tickets for sold-out events. They can join a waitlist and either pre-authorize a purchase (with a maximum price) or opt to be notified when tickets become available.

Quick Overview?

  • When the integration is enabled, Tixel will have access to all events and orders on that client.
  • Tixel runs quick verifications when a ticket is posted and when it is sold:
    1. Ticket exists and it has a "purchased" status
    2. Ticket has not been scanned
    3.  Ticket is not a comp or $0.00
  • Unlike Lyte, Tixel is not really using the middle status "Purchased - Posted on Fan to Fan" – although it is required, they just use it at the moment of the purchase before automatically changing it to "Purchased - Transferred through Fan to Fan". So, tickets posted on Tixel remain as purchased and they are scannable (until they are sold on Tixel).
  • When a purchase is done on Tixel, two things will happen:
    1. The original ticket changes its status to "Purchased - Transferred through Fan to Fan" and becomes invalid and unscannable
    2. A new order is created with a new barcode for the new purchaser. This ticket is a comp for reporting purposes, and behaves just like a comp.
  • Tixel will enable the exact same Delivery Methods that we have on the original event. Based on the customer's selection, Tixel will send the required info.
  • Delivery Method rules - Tixel will send us the selected delivery method. These are the validations we run:
    • Print @ Home: The delivery method is ON.
    • Will Call: The delivery method is ON.
    • Shipping:
      • The delivery method is ON.
      • The delivery method end sale date has not passed - If it has passed, we will automatically create the new order as a will call.

How does it work?

Permissions

Client Level

  1. Enable the Tixel Integration
Turn on the integration in Eventim within the Integrations Settings page. This will allow Tixel to look up for orders within the client's account.

  1.  Display Fan Exchange Link
Turn this ON to display a button to send customers to Tixel, at the checkout page for sold out events and / or sold out ticket types. If this toggle is OFF, the regular sold out message will be displayed.
  2. Tixel Setup
Add the Client ID in Tixel - This will connect the API to Tixel.

Seller level

  1. Upload the PDF tickets / Send the email confirmation within the Tixel platform - Tixel will parse this info and look up the order. They will allow the user to select which ticket do they want to sell and set up everything. Screenshot 2025-11-11 at 14.52.45.png
  2. Tixel runs verifications: No comps or $0.00 tickets are listed, tickets should not be scanned, and they should be on a purchased status. Screenshot 2025-11-11 at 15.24.15.png
  3. Tixel lists the ticket.  Screenshot 2025-11-20 at 14.07.11 (1).png

Buyer's Level

When a new customer is purchasing the listed ticket:

  1. Tixel will run a new verification: Ticket has not been scanned and it's still in purchased status
  2. Tixel allows the transaction and collects new customer info: Name, email, address, etc...
  3. We change the status to transferred through Fan to Fan - The ticket is not scannable.
  4. We create a new order with a Comp ticket based on the new customer info. The delivery method is based on the original ticket's delivery method.
    1. If delivery method shipping has passed the end date, then we send that new order to Will Call.
    2. If not, we will add the new order to the shipping list.

Notes

Will this work with Delayed Delivery?

Yes, it does. The original purchaser can upload the receipt to Tixel, and Tixel will be able to list the ticket without displaying or delivering the barcode until the delivery date arrives.

The expected behaviors are the following:

  • The new purchaser on Tixel will receive a new delayed delivery receipt when the new order is created.
  • The new purchaser will not receive the Eventim email with the barcode on the delivery date selected.  This will be sent directly by Tixel. Tixel needs to be aware of the delivery date so they can set it up correctly.
  • The original purchaser will not receive the email with the barcode from the original purchase on the delivery date.
